Somewhere around 35 years ago I built a plastic model of the Memphis Belle. The original Memphis Belle (the one in the photos isn't the original) was one of the first B-17s to complete 25 combat missions, which defined a crewman's tour of duty at that time, and it was famous for having brought all of its crew safely back after every mission. The original Memphis Belle is currently being restored at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Ohio.
