Eiger Pano: Switzerland
Posted By: simonkit, 05-02-2008, 11:13 AM

One of the 1st panos I've tried, taken last week in Switzerland - From left to right the mountains are: the Eiger, Monch, Jungfrau, Breithorn, Tschingelhorn, Schilthorn & Gspaltenhorn - a couple further right I'm not sure of

Unfortunately taken in full, midday sun so not exactly the best lighting.

sweet pano!
however, the bottom sleems to be a bit underexposed; not sure if you can bring up some of that detail without blowing out the snow

Unfortunately it's a consequence of taking the shot at midday - lighting was very harsh & the highlights could only be kept at the expense of some of the shadow detail, luckily most of the interest is in the highlights anyway

thanks

A very nice pano indeed. If you want to try bringing out some of the detail in the shadows, this tutorial may be worth a try Move the Light - Tutorials. I've used it more than once to help balance out lighting before my other post processing steps.
