Macro Colorful Beetle

Some type of beetle. Shot with a Pentax-A 50 f1.7 reversed on 20mm tube. For lighting I rigged up an old lens cap so I could attach my Sunpak ring flash to the end of the reversed 50.

Impressive! Someday I'm going to have to figure out reversing and extension tubes, It's all alien territory for me.

Cool. Looks like an appropriately-named delta flower scarab (Trigonopeltastes delta).
