Dark Thoughts
Lens: FA 77/1.8 Camera: K-3 Photo Location: Music Room ISO: 1600
Posted By: Sailor, 06-11-2014, 10:23 AM

Our 9-year-old granddaughter, Claire, stayed a couple of nights with us earlier this week (school is out ), and Monday evening I grabbed these shots of her - hair still wet from a shower - sitting at the Mac (which provided most of the illumination). I was struck (and amused) by her pensive expression as she tackled some puzzle on Animal Jam or Webkinz - an expression in stark contrast to the bubbling, giggling little girl that was running around the house moments earlier.

wonderful captures Jer, I really love the light here. Oh the wonderment of our children's minds, Claire is growing up so fast and I have enjoyed your photos.

There is so much emotion in the photo and very sutle lighting.

Nice shots Jer, love the lighting!.....and a good caption. Not thinking so deep, I would have called it "Mesmerized by a Computer Screen". Of course, I have only grandsons for reference, and I've never heard of them having deep thoughts.....and would be worried if they did!

Regards!

Hey, Rupert, thanks much. Claire can really surprise me - one minute she's talking about the habitat of sloths, the next minute asking me to turn on the car sat radio to the Disney channel and the next saying something like, "I think I'm pretty, Grampa, but I'm not into narcism." Kids are great.

Sounds like my youngest grandson who told me he "has a big brain, but isn't conceited about it". Yes kids are great!

Regards!

Love the first pic - such concentration. Granddaughters are terrific! I told mine (15 mos.) last night that she makes my heart sing and she just smiled at me.
