I had to look this up. I assume it's a replica because Wikipedia says there are only 5 of these. This was a car show event in Aurora. It was just starting to rain and the tires are nearly slicks, so I hope he was parking it.

I remember reading articles in Road & Track magazine, when they first came out. They were Cobra beaters at the Nassau international races in the Bahamas. Then GM pulled the plug on all racing.

these were produced in '63, a dream of Duntov to get Chevy into SCCA racing but the factory later pulled support and I think Penske bought or acquired all of them and they did race later if I remember correctly. As you said only 5 exist and pretty sure it wouldn't be driven around at local car shows. Nice shot btw of a true legend.

Cool shot - my knowledge of Vettedom is pretty superficial, and I didn't know such a car was ever produced - looks pretty tricky!
