Great shots ! I just saw a discovery channel show where these creatures get a buzz by biting (not killing) some giant centipede that excretes some kind of acid as a defense mechanism - this acid is like crack cocaine to the lemurs , looks like that last one may have had a few hits

Yes, the last ones just kept jumping around on the floor, very funny. I regret not having had a video camera for such actions.

I dont think that I have never really seen a lemur before... You shots are great and the one dancing around is pretty cute... A video would of been pretty neat to capture that...

These shots are just outstanding in deed. You must be so close to the lemur!

Have to agree with these shots ,they are fantastic and so close ups as well ,you feel as though you are so close up to touch them.

Too much wacky juice so finny to see

Tokina is a lens that doesnt seem to be very much special but boy do they perform

cheers

Thank you so much for all your comments.

The photos of the lemurs were quite difficult, usually shooting with a long tele in rather dim light, I hoped SR and high ISO will do, and the result shows it worked perfectly well.

My son and daughter will love these. There is a show on one of the kids channels with a lemur as the host. Great shots those last few of him dancing are really cool.
