An unexpected visitor came to play today. For comparison, the last photo is from a Sony NEX-6 + MD 135/3.5., shot on another liftoff from the runway. The color from the Q is definitely a bit off . . . the runway color in the NEX photo is the correct tone.

Nicely done!
They say Air Force 1 practices at Yeager airport due to it's challenging runway.

Thanks Michael. We've also heard that WV is a designated evac area in the case of an emergency in the US Capital . . . don't know if that's true or not.

Nice shots of a BBJ! The only aircraft I've seen with that paintwork was a 747 when the US president visited Australia.

Thanks Rob. It is in the same fleet; they fly a Gulfstream 5, B757, and B737 into here for practice. They have actually flown the 47 in once, and that is a sight to see on our small airport.

Nice! I work near Canberra airport, and it's unusual to get really big aircraft. One morning a Qantas 747-400 landed because of fog in Sydney - usually it's foggy here!
