Most difficult....
Posted By: clarenceclose, 01-27-2007, 07:44 PM

The most difficult horse to photograph.
He isn't as white as the snow but his white is too white for his dark.
When he holds still I get some time to do the correct exposures.
C&C appreciated.

Sundown shots, motion ones slightly blurred, using kit lens 18-55 for K10D.

Reminds me of the mustang on the front of the Ford Mustang.

You want a blue eyed paint to stand still for you to take a photo, HA! he looks like one of those guys that won't let you near him with a saddle unless he really likes you. Great shots.

That horse looks very camera shy and I second regken - he's probably just as saddle shy!

The fourth shot - the horse looks like it's getting ready to charge at you. Got that "Get lost!" attitude sort of look.

Great shots!

His is really an 'in you pocket' sort of horse, and a big one at that.
He just gets snorty when I come around with the camera and make funny mouth noises.
Most times he just walks up to me as if 'what you doin'?'
Have other, less active shots of him with ears down and very casual but the action shots were what I was going for here.

Clarence,

Really like the first two, the expression on the first one and detail of the eye on the second one - nicely done!

Regards,
D
