Someone once observed that many tractor manufacturers also fancy the can make sports cars - and they make good ones. Not only Porsche, but Ferrari, Lamborghini and David Brown (who puts the DB in the Aston Martin DB5 etc) My tractor is a Kubota and they have not had that aspiration yet. But that Porsche is in beautiful condition. Nice shot.

Norbert, had no idea that Porsche built anything other than fine autos, Great catch my friend. I wonder if that is a 6 or 7 speed

It's much like myself then, but I've still got some polish.

It is a real collectors item meanwhile. Only 50 units of this particular type had been build. Prices might be close to Boxters nowadays!

Thanks for your comment. I did not know about David Brown tractors! They are still building some sophisticated gearboxes for naval ships.

Thanks much Heinrich. They were part of a parade of old tractors in our village yesterday. Everybody had a great time!

Appreciate your comment Bob! In post war times sportscars were not really needed and Porsche was building some great tractors to survive as a company. And actually, this one has a 7-speed gearbox!

Can we see some photographic evidence, please?
