Waterton Lakes National Park is of course more than pretty scenery, many animals live in the park and I tried to take a few pictures of as many as I could, here are a few of the largest:

Fantastic shots of the bison and what a magnificent location too! How close could you get to them and what focal length were you using?

Thank you, how close and what lens varies greatly from time to time. I usually went there at least twice a day and used 18-135, 55-300 and Bigma.

Thank you Bob. Been there and done that, now my wife stays home. Unfortunately not for that reason, she is waiting for hip replacement surgery.

Splendid shots!

I just love No. 1 and 7 of that set.
I should maybe tell that to my daughter who presently lives in Calgary; she is going all over the place in Alberta and becoming a very good nature photographer ... all with her little K-r and a DA 55-300 !

Thank you JP, most of these images were taken with the 55-300, some with Bigma.

Thank you Dave and yes you should. The Cameron Lake road was just opened again before I got there, they did a tremendous job rebuilding the sections after last years flood.
