Photo Location: Burren, Co. Clare, Ireland

Back from an almost three weeks trip to Connemara, Ireland. This one is from the Burren - not Connemara - in County Clare....

Very nice - the B/W really suits the scene. Megaliths are fascinating - pondering why the old-timers went to such great efforts to build them....

That is a really good image Rense, B/W is perfect, done in camera or PP?

Thank you Heinrich! I always shoot RAW, so it's done with the help of LightRoom....

At a time (Neolithic} when the average life span at birth was 25 years and if you really lucked out and survived to 5 years old it went up to perhaps 30.
It's one the great mysteries why these people invested so much of their limited resources heaping these gigantic stones one on top of another.
Now all we suffer from is worrying about carrying too much camera gear around our necks.
