Bridge at Barca DÁlva
Lens: DA 18-135 WR Camera: K3 Photo Location: Barca DÁlva Portugal ISO: 100 Shutter Speed: 1/125s Aperture: F8
Posted By: balm, 07-10-2014, 11:50 AM

We were on a day cruise up the Douro River and when we arrived at Barca DÁlva the wind had drop and this was the view from the wharf. This is my second K3 as original camera and all my lenses were stolen whilst in Spain during this trip. Boy is it difficult to find Pentax here in Portugal let alone lenses as the 18-135 was my only choice.
Never mind complaining about low lifes I knew this was a nice image the moment I pressed this shutter.

Yeah. It appears that eastern Europeans are giving southwest Spain some real grief with stealing etc. It took them less than 3 minutes to break into the car and grab all my gear. I guess a fight with my travel insurer is coming up when I get home. What really annoys me is the 2000 odd images that have gone on the laptop and backup drives. including the originals of my other posts.

Wow rotten critters well take something hard to get in a country I guess they will steal it they knew a good thing when they saw it. All I can say is make sure you get a copy of the police report and hopefully you won't have too much grief.

Gorgeous images sometimes you can just feel it . Hope the rest of your journey is much smoother

That is a real good image Les, love it. Sorry about your gear and hopefully your insurer will see it your way. That is one reason that on most travel I only take the Q7 and a few lenses, fits all in a belt pouch.

I normally have the gear on me but had stopped for fuel. I went for a leak and my wife went for a coffee. 3 minutes and window was broken and gear gone. Apparently no one saw a thing which I am not so sure about but there you go.

I wonder how good Lenstag is as all the gear was registered with them?
