hot hazy day
Posted By: thomasjmpark, 05-06-2008, 04:00 PM

Hi,
Wow, what a scorcher of a day, my face is the colour of a lobster I found it tough to shoot anything decent with the bright sun and haze and although i took a fair amount of shots these are the only ones that came out half decent. I quite like the last but cant get the colours to look as I would like so will try fiddling a bit more with it

I like the shots Tom. The last is the best IMO as well. I really like the shot and the boat coming into the dock. I think you can get a little more out of that shot though. It has a slightly flat look to it. Maybe a little more with the levels.

Edit. I thought I you could get more out of it but once posted yours looked much much better. The Jpeg really changed when it was posted. So forget what I just said...

Absolutely not Peter thanks. Yes the haze in the air seemed to suck any colour and contrast out the shots. I like your version but maybe its too much, somewhere in between would be ideal i think

A boat cruise sounds like a grand idea on a hot, hazy day. Very nice perspective indeed. ( I am enjoying the greenery in the shot - we still do not have leaves on the trees yet. )

Thanks Jeff. We had alot of rain for a while and now the suns been out everything is springing into life, love this time of year.

Bikes are good wherever you use them its a great way of keeping reasonably fit (so you long as you dont stop for a ciggy every 5 mins)

Good colour and beautiful scenery. The hazziness actually works quite well in your photographs

The last one works for me, I like it. Interesting perspective.
