Out on a walk, Pt 1
Lens: Vivitar 75-205/3.8 Camera: K-30 Photo Location: rural WV
Posted By: TonyTurley, 07-15-2014, 05:56 PM

A few non-floral things that caught my interest on my most recent hike this past weekend. 16.5 miles, and I didn't see a single bear. K-30 and Vivitar 75-205/3.8.

Eastern Tailed Blue?

Parts of the state forest are known for the Rattlesnake population

Big dog?

Colorful fungi

The Damselfly images are not as sharp as I'd like, but I still liked the scenes.

I didn't see any turtles on my hike Saturday, but this photogenic Green Frog will do. It stayed still until I got this photo. Unusual.

A dog named Samson doing his thing Saturday. No fish were harmed in the making of this image.

Thanks Dave. It was indeed great exercise, and I always enjoy finding new things to see in the woods.

wonderful variety of photos here, you say 16 miles is a hike, I would call that an overnight opportunity for these old bones. Thanks for sharing with us, enjoyed all of the views.

That shows it pays to take your camera on a walk.

Thanks Bob. I'm no Spring Chicken, but hiking is a real passion for me.

Thanks Jerry. I was surprised the frog stayed around while I snapped a few frames. The dog was hilarious to watch as he tried and failed to catch a fish.

My dogs used to fish in the creek, they caught stuff out of there all the time, that pic reminded me of it. Thanks

Thanks Heinrich, it was indeed a great walk. I have another scheduled for this week. While you're here, I owe you an apology. On one of your Waterton threads, I called you Hans, mistaking you for someone else on PF. I hope you didn't take offense.
