Out on a walk, Pt. 2
Lens: Vivitar 75-205/3.8 Camera: K-30 Photo Location: rural WV
Posted By: TonyTurley, 07-15-2014, 06:06 PM

Some flora I saw on my most recent hike this past weekend. If I was certain of the ID, I labeled the photo. Anyone that knows the others, chime in. The first pic was taken nearby a few days earlier with a K-30 and SMC-Pentax-M 50/1.7, the rest with the same camera and Vivitar 75-205/3.8.

Yarrow

??

Cow Parsnip

Black Oak

??

Jewelweed (Touch-Me-Not) with a delicate spider web

??

Nightshade

Queen Anne's Lace with a pair of procreating insects

I've always called these Tiger Lillies, but some just call them Daylillies.

Whorled Loosestrife is looking rather wilted lately

you sure have a wonderful variety of wildflowers in your area, I'm used to seeing a few cactus in bloom so this is an enjoyable thread for me to view.

Thanks for looking, Bob. Our woods are indeed rich and diverse. No matter how often I hike, I always see something that catches my interest.

You deserve credit too for hiking with that Vivitar lens--I have one and while it has many merits lightness is not one of them.

Thanks. It is indeed a tad on the hefty side.
