External flash in broad daylight
Lens: DA* 50-135 Camera: K3 Photo Location: The great outdoors ISO: 100 Aperture: F8
Posted By: fgaudet, 07-26-2014, 01:37 PM

This morning I felt like playing around a bit with my remote flash trigger and the dog had to go outside... I was curious of what the results would be. I usually use strobes when, well, when they're needed, not when the camera meters at 1/2000, f/4 ISO 200, with no shadows to fill... So I headed outside with the K3 in one hand, flash in the other and the dog doing his things. After a few test shots I decided to go with 1/160, f8, ISO100 with my flash at 80%-100%

This is the results. Not bad IMO, I like the isolation I was able to get, and I always like the fact that the pictures always turn out very crisp when using flash, not that the 50-135 is otherwise soft but it makes it shine.
