An F2 tornado hit Revere Ma. less than 5 miles from my home.At my home there was plenty of thunder and lightning and we got almost 3" of rain in less than an hour which snarled traffic on US Rte.1 which is just down the street from me.The event made National news.Luckily no serious injuries have been reported. This never happens around here but "The times they are a changin' "--charliezap

I would say that's a torrential downpour.

We had much of the same weather a few hours earlier. No tornado but nasty thunder storms with heavy rain and strong wind. The sump pump in my cellar has had quite a workout so far this year. Nice series.

The more that the climate warms up Bob the more energy is available for these rarities to occur.I wonder what's next?--charliezap

I was on the other side of MA, driving from VT to NY along I-91, during the Sunday storms. Nasty weather. Skies parted just as I made my halfway stop at the New England Air Museum in Hartford, CT.

Nice set… man I don't think I've seen 3" of rain in the last 3 years.

I like the excitement of weather but I guess that I have to be careful of what I wish for. --charliezap
