Not what I meant. How close from the front of the lens is the subject?

That's a pretty long way away from the subject. I didn't think there could be that much distance with this lens.

They are a good lens Michael.

And for PhotoLady............ If you get too close to the subject you get a shallow DOF and lose detail.

Yes the image is cropped which retains the DOF and detail and you can do that well with the K-3.
