Dewman said in a previous post that he's using the Olympus PP software so I'm guessing that adds a data field to the EXIF somehow.

Yes.... correct. I use Olympus Viewer II software to download and PP my photos. Somehow, it shows that on my EXIF. I've found that this software does just about all that I need..... and it's amazingly user-friendly.
