Two Caribou on afternoon feeding trips through Denali National Park and Preserve, Alaska

The title (mis)led me to expect something completely different.

Interesting images. I did not know that caribou had an asymmetrical rack with a tine (branch?) from one antler going down the nose. I can see how it could be useful in a number of ways.

It was not for the the thumbnail view you would have had many many many more views ! Great shot though.

As the guide said in reference to the racks, "Neither one of these caribou will have a problem during rutting season." These are actually two different caribou less than 300 yards apart though an hour and a half apart.
