What else several Super Moon Shots
Lens: DA* 300 / Sigma 50-500 Camera: K5IIs Photo Location: Elk Island , Alberta, Canada
Posted By: daacon, 08-11-2014, 11:11 AM

My wife and I headed to Elk Island (a certified dark sky area) for some shots of the super moon last night. we got there about 30 minutes before sunset and got some really nice lake shots as well which I will post later. It was an exceptionally calm evening.

We got some early shots, a few cloud shots then it disappeared into a bank of clouds for 20 minutes or so. At that time we decided to head home (about 40 minute drive) and the last shot was when we got home (around 11;00 pm) the orange glow had gone

My favorite is the second one - even though the moon is not as clear as it is in the other shots the setting and colors of the dusk make a beautiful mood.
