These small flowers in the wilderness reminds me of orchids (although I know little about orchids). I noticed that bees would nearly completely crawl inside before backing out to fly to the next. Flower name: unknown

Very nice...that's jewelweed, so called because of how dew beads up on its leaves

As you can tell from the ant that photobombed me, all sorts of insects are drawn to it. (FWIW, it's also called "touch-me-not," from the way that the seedpod breaks open when dry...there's a pretty common, "yaller" variant here in the Smokies called pale jewelweed.)

The plant can be used as a poison ivy anti-itch med. And the seeds are edible. Taste like walnuts.
