Winter came back.........
Posted By: Heinrich Lohmann, 05-09-2008, 11:11 AM

......so there was another chance for a few quick winter shots. The sun came out and the wind came up so there was not a whole lot of time but I did get a few quick shots

All with K10D and 16-45

Comments are always welcome

I really like #2 Heinrich, very nice work.

I hope that spring returns soon.

We had winter over the last few days, but it's nice out again.
It might be blowing your way

Hmmm,

Somehow, this reminds me of last year.... only later.

Live in the north, freeze in the north.

Thank you Stu, it's +12C and sunny this afternoon. And will you please keep the rest of it on your side of the mountains.

Hi Stephen and thank you. Last year we had a large dump of snow on May the 25th, it damaged a lot of trees.

Take care,

These ice consolidation and snow really chilled me a little. Weather tends to be a funny thing, truely dynamic. You manage to capture some refreshing colour out of the such weather.

Great photos

Cool (pardon the pun) series Heinrich. Number 2 is very good and 4 is excellent. I really like how you captured the ice that had outlined the branch before it fell off. Must be hard on the spring growth though.

The great IQ and colour of these images just reinforces my choice to get the DA16-45 as well. I've had it for 2 weeks and the first shots have been excellent, even wide open. No interest in the DA*16-50 anymore.

Thank you Peter, it is hard on some spring growth but the Mayday trees seem to take in stride.

I got the 16-45 as my kitlens when I bought K100D. It has stood up well both mechanical and optically. While the 16-50 will be a good lens in the end after they sort out their assembly problems I couln't afford to spend that kind of money on a "normal" lens anyway.

Take care,
