Went to the east end of the Lamar Valley in Yellowstone to capture some bison in rutt. Lots of loud grunting but not much head butting as the bulls haven't gathered their harems yet. These are bison calves growing their dark winter coats. K-5 + K 400mm f/5.6.

those are some great close up shots. Lamar is my favorite part of he park, seems like something is always going on with the animals and such beautiful colors in the valley.

Thanks Bob and I agree. I love the Lamar at any time of the year and there'll always be something going on.
