Happy - my friend and companion.

For the animal shall not be measured by man. In a world older and more
complete than ours, they move finished and complete, gifted with
extensions of the senses we have lost or never attained, living by
voices we shall never hear. They are not bretheren; they are not
underlings; they are other nations, caught with ourselves in the net of
life and time, fellow prisoners of the splendour and travail of the
Earth'

Great photos and the clarity and sharpness of the eyes in the first one is astounding!
And that one was taken with a 190 buck Sigma 70-300mm zoom at an ISO of 4000 - so much for spending a fortune on Limited glass.

The absolute BEST lens I own is a Tamron 28-200mm Macro-Zoom I bought at a yard sale for $15.00! So, yep..... it doesn't take a gazillion dollar lens to take good photos.

Let us know how it turns out...

... thanks all for your understanding it's comforting to know you are not alone.
After an agonizing two weeks I found out this morning that my fur baby Winnie does not have cancer! A couple of weeks ago I took him to the vet as he seemed unwell and the vet found a mass in his mouth along with a few ulcers. The vet said normally when they see this kind of mass it is cancer. She recommended a course of antibiotics and an anti-inflammatory then this morning he was scheduled for surgery to remove the mass. We would then send the mass to a lab to confirm the diagnosis. This morning the vet took a peek inside Winnie's mouth and was astounded. The mass was almost all gone. This doesn't happen with cancer. She thinks he had a "fight" with one of my parent's cats out at the lake and it got infected. We got another course of antibiotics this morning and he'll get one more check up in a couple of weeks and that will be it. I am so relieved. Thank you for your support too, it was really appreciated.

That's really good news but it was one hell of a scare.
I'm happy for both you and your pet.
