Residence Halls after Nightfall
Lens: DA 18-55 kit lens ISO: 100 Shutter Speed: Above 6s Aperture: F9.5
Posted By: willskywalker93, 08-19-2014, 07:29 PM

Hey guys! Here are some pictures I took of the dorms on my University campus about two hours after dark the other night. I was still learning how aperture affected starburst at the time. Also, I wanted more traffic blur in the one with the road, but not many cars came by until right after I packed up my camera. You know how that goes.

I took these with my K-x and the 18-55 kit lens on a cheap tripod from the top of my school's parking garage. Constructive criticism is very welcome guys! I have only been into photography for a short time and really like to learn about it!

Nicely done. Good exposures and good job on the starbursts. Also glad you kept the vertical lines, well, vertical.

Just a thought, when doing your PP drop back the brightness a fraction and increase the contrast and that should increase the sharpness and liven up the tonal quality.
