I'd like a better view of its dorsal abdomen, but I'd wager this is a Bombus impatiens bumble bee. The flower is a variety of jewel weed, an important native plant, though one which can quickly take over any garden space. Hummingbirds and sphinx moths use the flowers, too.
It's fun to watch bumble bees bury themselves in flowers, they climb right in. It's also fun to watch them roll around in roses and rose-like flowers, then brush all that pollen down to their baskets.
Great sequence of shots!
