Driver Development School at Mosport DDT
Posted By: Gooshin, 05-11-2008, 08:35 AM

doing behind the scenes adminsitrative work at our annual Solosprint School at Mosport DDT this weekend i got to snap off a few shots.

my $40 tokina f4.5 80-200 telephoto lens did quite well, considering its super compact, i'm going to sell my monster f2.8 tokina...

also, this was the first time i went 100% JPEG, wasnt as bad as i thought it was, i was surpsied with the amount of DR i got in the end.

anyway, here is the full gallery:

Zenfolio | Serge Guschin | 2008 Solosprint School

and here are some highlights for those that dont want to brows:

i have been participating for the last 3 years, last year my car sort of broke down so i stopped competing, this year im doing more of teh behind the scenes organizing work that makes all this happen

but yeah, i get to drive around, but i ususaly just score rides with people.

yes that is an EVO X, and yes that mustang is a cobra edition.

we also had a guy come otu with a bmw 135, that thing was awesome.

There are pretty much four dedicated Subaru events in the summer.

1) Toronto-Subaru-Club.com Spring Fling (a little late this year being held very shortly)

2) Subie-Club World Meet - No date set right now, Subie-Club.com organizes a Subaru meet around the world all on the same day.

3) Toronto-Subaru-Club.com Annual Meet - This is the big one! Hundreds of Subarus come out from all over and meet at the Subaru HQ in Mississauga.

4) Budds Subaru / Group A Performance Annual charity Show and Shine - big Subaru meet held in Oakville to raise money. (details being finaized right now)

These are the ones I am personally involved with....

Half the reason I have my camera is for motorsports. (not NASCAR). I hope to make many of the remaining SCCA events locally. I am trying to make time to get another rally in as well.

i dont know if you aware of the "solosprint nationals" that we have here in ontario, which, really, is just a battle between the ontario and the quebec guys, we always kick ass....

anyway

this year there may be some money going towards people in the western provinces to come to Calabogie racetrack to compete in the nationals.

i believe ASN Canada will pad half of your traveling expenses associated with such a trip..

think about it

I'm not sure if you were talking to me, but I organize a few solo 2 events every year through my car club. If my car was done i'd think about the drive.
