Reflections in B&W
Posted By: Eastern Shore Charlie, 05-11-2008, 12:58 PM

I was going to to go Gettysburg yesterday but the rain canceled that trip. I decided to get out in the rain anyways and find something to shoot with a my new used DA 21. Really like the contrast.....sharp lens. This is what I found.......

Nice, well done feeling of perspective.

Like the B&W treatment.

Interesting shot, at first glance I thought there was barrel distortion but looking closer it's just an illusion caused by the reflections on the wet wood.

I love shots of paths , piers , walkways ,etc - BW is a definite asset in this shot. Well done.

The DA 21 gives just a hair barrel distortion, but it is a light - mighty fine little lens that I can handel.

In color it was okay, but B&W blew me away. I like shots with lines...makes my crazy old man eyes feel good

The perspective is in deed impressive. I would love to have some foreground within the frame. However, the perspective would be lost in that regard.

Great shot

Thank you.....I actually was going to shoot with more foreground of some grey stones, but when I saw those hand rails I forgot about the foreground
