the Totem Pole
Camera: K5 Photo Location: Monument Valley, AZ
Posted By: Bob Harris, 09-03-2014, 07:18 PM

There is so much to photograph here in Monument Valley on the 20 mile drive through the park to view the formations. For you movie buffs, this was featured in the movie The Eiger Sanction, Clint Eastwood and George Kennedy were climbing it and it was the last time anyone was allowed to climb in the park.

the clouds really helped taking photos there this time Steve, at first it was just overcast and then storm clouds came in so it was a great day to shoot.

Really wonderful photo Bob. It looks really great. It also
looks like John Wayne could come riding by.

I really like this one Bob. The biblical sky and the sharp focus make it a winner! Another place I've never been.

It's truly John Wayne, I saw so many Westerns with these in the backdrop, you'll have to take a look and travel back to the good old days.

It's not that far Jerry and a lodge is close by to spend the evenings, take a look, you'll love this area.
