Posted By: wtlwdwgn, 09-07-2014, 08:51 PM

I decided to go out and shoot the moon tonight in case it's cloudy tomorrow.

Thanks Bob and good moon shots everyone. I'm really glad I shot the moon on Sunday as there were some clouds and atmospheric haze last night.

Kehoe, your viewpoint of the moon was certainly different that mine.

I have really got to get longer focal length lens. My borrowed 28-200mm Sigma A series could only manage to get this, but I couldn't crop in further due to the 12.4 MP resolution of my K-x. :/

Hopefully by the next time it is a full moon, I can have some better glass

The moon is something that can be photographed a million times and not get boring.

very nice. Not sure if it was focus, glass, the extra 4MP res, or the fact that yours weren't at full moon, but those details are far superior to mine. I'll have to give it a shot at a different phase!

Upping contrast and clarity in lightroom will give your moon shots some more depth too.

Haha that was very upped clarity. I'll do a little more work with it later.
