Wow that's pretty clean! Is it a 100% crop?

Very nice! I'll be glad when I get my 400 back from Eric so I can try shooting the moon!

Thanks to you all! Glad I got it last night as they're forecasting clouds moving in ahead of a cold front. It isn't quite at 100%.

This is the original image.

This is 100%.

Amazing. Celestial bodies will never lose their fascination and mystery to me. So interesting and vague.

My moon shot from last week.

Hi, I like your shot and thought that I will add a picture I took last week. Pentax K30, Tamron 70-300mm @ 300mm 1/200sec ISO1600. Incidentally, I dropped the tripod shortly after and destroyed the lens . Camera is good however . Also, this is my first picture post and I hope it is OK to butt into someone else's thread.

Cheers

In this case another moon shot is perfectly acceptable. Nice one. Sorry about your lens.

A real bummer about your lens.... and a good one, at that. Or at least it WAS a good one. Nice moon shot, too, by the way. Welcome to a great place to be for a Pentax person.
