thanks EM, it is quite a hike to get to the point here, I was surprised they set up this photo op, I thought they were just going to the edge to see the view, so it was a treat when the one gal pulled out the camera to take photos.

you got that right Kyle, many have died getting to close to the edge for that special shot.

It's the sandstone Norm, amazing how it changes color with a change in light during the day. Come see for yourself.

I was on Mount Pilchuck a week ago climbing a big rock just to take a good shot. My foot slipped and I fell down almost 15 ft. Luckily, my feet reached the ground first and I hopped forward to keep myself from injuring.

I would regret if I didn't climb up and see the great scenic though.

I think in the NP's each year there are about 150 people that die from falls. It's better to stay behind the rails.
