Taken today, with my Pentax K-30 digital SLR and my Rokinon 650-1300mm zoom.
I was out back, and noticed something very odd on the far side of the coulee wall, I grabbed my camera with 28-200 zoom, and racked it out to 200mm and saw that there was a crew on a huge bucket boom that were working on the hi tension tower up the hill from the dam.
I rifled thru my truck and got my long zoom, a tripod and got it all set up, attached my camera and was just getting a focus, as the boom lowered below the intervening hill and was gone. I was kinda upset, that I just went to all that trouble, and then the guys decided to pack it up and go home. Sigh.
I looked over at the neighbors yard, which I had just mowed this morning, and saw something bright white over there.
Al and Roberta Miller have a beautiful yard, but I could not recall seeing that there.
I focused and shot several frames at 650 and at 1300mm.
This is the best shot I got, at 650mm. I did some processing on it, after a slight crop, increased saturation, and dropped contrast.
I like it, maybe you will also.
