(Just Another) Drawbridge in Seattle
Lens: Pentax 18-55WR Camera: Pentax K-50 Photo Location: Montlake, Seattle, WA

This stupid bridge. I was walking near the shaded strips on the left. The bridge operator suddenly sounded the alarm, and I jumped up and ran back.

This is probably the most 3D photo I have taken with my DSLR.

Interesting route, why not Eastlake?

Wow, we're way off topic. Has there every been a Seattle Pentaxians hang? There appear to be quite a few of us, despite the fact that no one sells Pentax here.

Stupid Eastlake is so narrow that the bike lane shouldn't even exist in there at first. Dexter is much wider.

Just look at Metro buses traveling on Eastlake. Their drivers are forced to encroach bike lanes all the time especially at a curve (steering left/right). Even worse when buses are pulling over at a stop.

Dexter, on the other hand, has special bus-stops that extends beyond the sidewalk and allow bikers to safely pass by the stops. Look at the below Google street view.

See the dedicated separation between bike lanes and car lanes? The next one shows the bus stops that I was talking about.

There. Big difference especially at night or low-visibility situation.

I never run into Pentax people in town either (actually I saw one at a Sounders game), but I see a lot of photos posted from here.

We should have a local drawbridge photo contest.

I don't know... Maybe we should make a mini-challenge of the Best of Seattle. Each day, a Pentax owner of Seattle would submit a photo of the city. Architecture, activities, food, breweries, sports, etc. We should show people that Pentaxians exist in Seattle lol.
