Nice lighting! How did you take that shot? Did you use flash to bring the subject out??

BTW what is happening with the right petal lol

I pretty much never use a flash, just natural light. On the right it is a silhouette of a Rose leaf you are seeing.

Oh. How did you get rid of all other colours in the background? Did you play with exposures to put the flower in highlight, and turn everything else in the shadow into black with post-processing?

If you read my previous posts about selecting subjects with the B/G in shadow and using contrast/brightness you'll see how it's done.

Very blended, this colour combination is a favorite. Plenty of drops waiting inside.
