My recent trip to Japan
Posted By: irish_spring, 05-12-2008, 04:13 PM

I spent a few days in Yokohama recently and had some time to take my camera out for a whirl. Here are a few images.

nice photos! did you check out some of the other cities as well?
that's no Pokemon, that's Doraemon, the robot cat from the future ... he's as popular as Hello Kitty is which is why you'll see it everywhere

Japan is always my favorite country to visit. A good mix of modernness and tradition.

I should have known it was Doraemon! It has been so long since I've seen him that the name escaped me

I did find a Hello Kitty there too in China town. Not your everyday kitty though!

I used to live in Japan in the 90s and I've seen quite a bit of the country but I never had a camera then. This trip I was only there for two days so I was limited to Yokohama. It is one of the nicer places to be limited to however!

Nice photos! Its too bad your trip was so short. I'll be making my way over there at the end of May.

Now... to figure out what glass I should bring.

I had trouble choosing too. I ended up with the 16-45mm. It was the first time i wished i had a super zoom.
