Photography is exciting again 09-14-2014, 11:37 AM
Photography has been part of my life since my grade school days. Though my grade school was part of the public school district in my town, the curriculum there was unlike other schools there. One unique part was our darkroom. We learned about taking pictures with inexpensive 35mm cameras, loading our film into developing tanks and then processing it, and printing and developing our shots. At the time I had fun in the darkroom, but I didn't realize how great the program was until later in life when I began taking pictures with the Minolta SLR that I received as a high school graduation gift. I learned how to use that camera with the 50mm kit lens, which was a good one. Over the years since, the magic of photography got lost and the pictures I took had less meaning for me. Years passed before the magic reappeared when I started using my Pentax K-500 with the 18-55mm kit zoom. Photography is exciting again. I would love the opportunity to again be shooting with a (very) good 50mm lens for my continuing education in digital photography. Thank you to Larry Navarro for making this possible. | |
