Why should I be the lucky one to win this contest? To be honest, I couldn't think of a compelling reason why it should be me and not another member. I've always loved taking pictures more as a way of documenting moments in my life rather than for a picture's artistic merit. Every once in a while those two reasons do line up and I manage to add one like this to my collection.
The time stamp on the picture is off as it was actually about 7:30am (not 5:27am) when I snapped it. We were living in a condo in downtown Toronto overlooking Lake Ontario when I saw the fog rolling in over the islands and just had to capture it. It was a matter of being at the right place at the right time.
Hopefully for this contest, I'm at the right place at the right time again.
