You need to get a sign up "Bears Crossing".

Came across one here on the road North the other day "Beware Otters", not quite sure how big they were for humans to be worried.

We have a bunch of them here. They're about 2-6 feet long and they can run up to around 100lbs. They're actually related to weasels and like weasels they can be testy when messed with. They're fun to watch though, very playful. But if you ever see any keep your distance. They can do some damage if provoked. First time I saw one I didn't quite realize what it was. It was just walking across a road going down into a drainage ditch near here. We have weasels too. I've seen them several times walking across my yard at night. This place it's totally suburbia with it's strip malls and coffee shops but some days around here it's like living in a Wild Kingdom episode. I've seen so many animals I never would have thought I'd ever see living so near humans...
