Here is an interesting shot I took while experimenting with straws over the last few days.

The straws are mounted on top of a strobe. In actuality they are white straws, but the lighting makes them look almost metallic.
Color adjusted in Lightroom using extreme white balance settings.

The small circles inside the straws are the bendy accordion bits. They are what ultimately give it away as straws instead of metal tubes.

Very interesting shot, the most mundane things can be made to look so cool.
