Tonight's moon test with SMC A*1200 ED IF

Those at NYC's latitude will note how high the moon was above the horizon tonight. I had to point the lens nearly straight up on the gimbal to sight the moon. Too much of a kink in the neck to stay at it for very long. The image below was f16 @ 1/30 sec.

It is very impressive with all that details.

But A* 1200mm really exist? I am really surprised to find out about this. It must cost a fortune!

never heard of an A*1200 ... unless it is a smaller lens with stacked TC
