I know, but it depends on the distances and subjects involved. There's a couple of photos in this thread taken with the DA*300 at a wide aperture, and I like them for the bokeh as well as the subject.

#s 2 and 3 are nice, yes! I will have to look at these gardens if/when I'm in Canberra.

Fascinating diversity of flowers - and great display of your creative eye. Especially enjoyed the patterns and effective use of DOF in #2.
