Camping on the Wabash
Lens: Pentax DA *55 Camera: Pentax K-01
Posted By: Rondec, 09-29-2014, 03:48 AM

Just thought I would share some photos from a trip to the Wabash River, down at the very south west tip of Indiana. The Wabash is the border between the states of Indiana and Illinois here and a pretty good sized river, right before it flows into the Ohio. We were camping in Harmonie State Park, not to far from New Harmony where there were a couple of Utopian Societies.

I was shooting here with the K-01 and the DA *55. I also had the K3 and DA 15 limited along, but I haven't developed those photos yet.

This is a panorama.

This also is a panorama.

A Leaf.

Path to the Wabash.

Sun and Smoke.

Thanks for looking.

A great set--the second pano, and the last, of the sweetgum tree, really make me want that lens.

Nice series. I especially like the second pano shot. ( I gotta spend some time someday figuring out the whole pano thing)
My wife and I enjoy fall camping too, probably more so then summer.
Thanks for sharing!

Thank you. Yes, the weather was perfect -- warm during the day and cool at night. Only thing is that the leaves haven't really started to changed here.

The pano was taken with four landscape oriented shots of the tree -- I was just too close to it to get the whole thing in with a 55mm lens, even with a portrait orientation. I have photoshop elements and that is pretty easy to use for matching up panoramas.
