which flash are you using? great color without being blown out.

If 10cm, the precise alignment should be the king... No DOF exists....

Awesome shots!

I am now convinced that flash is mandatory - your setup is very good for its price (here I am thinking I need a ring flash). With long macro lenses you can use the built in flash (so I found out this afternoon). The extra working distance helps no end.

Old4570's setup also inspired me... I just picked up a Yongnuo yn-560 iii with soft box yesterday... Tests in house looks awesome as I can push the aperture down a lot...

I used the flash to take it at 1/160 and F13. Without flash, I never had chance take beyond F8 before at the conservatory in NYBG...
