Pier Scheveningen The Hague at night

I did not really want to take a shot of the pier, I really didn't. There are so many pictures of it out there, who needs more? But it accidentally crept into my field of view, and I couldn't help liking it.

When I took this shot, I could barely see the pier. It was a black silhouette against an almost black night sky. But after 13 seconds of exposure it showed itself to me in all its glory (or decay, actually).

Taken with the k-50 and smc pentax-m 50mm/1.7f lens. 13 seconds exposure, 800 iso, aperture not sure, but somewhere left from the middle, it was dark ;-)

That's a great technical term for an aperture setting, must remember that one.

Haha. Yeah during this shoot I once checked the aperture ring by lighting it with my phone's lcd, and after that I forgot about it, so let's just call it "stopped down" ;-)
