That doesn't make calls though.

Crazy thing was the camera was a Sony Alpha A6000, which take a fair picture by all accounts.

It can't be that good if that 1/3.2" sensor does a better job...!

So you can send the pictures to your friends at the office who are slaving hard at work. With a text message that says, "I'm here and you're there, na na, na na na" My sister does it all the time.

Yeah, Instagram and Facebook. My wife cares more about being able to upload an image and talk about it more than the quality of the image itself. Maybe she took a pic with both devices, or maybe she was carrying it for someone for awhile.

Kids today just don't understand technology. That's why she defaults to the phone. It's all she knows, the poor dear!
My daughter who knows how a camera works, just uses a wi-fi card and uploads to the phone! Make a Dad proud!

I will say, before I got into shooting RAW, post processing, and using filters (CPL), I found it much more convenient when traveling Europe to take landscapes with my Samsung Galaxy S4 Active for several reasons. It was convenient, small, more easily accessible, and the built in panorama and HDR modes were amazing. Took some good HDR pics with it because they don't really halo.
