Almost sunrise at Sunset Beach
Lens: Pentax 10-17mm Fisheye Camera: Pentax K5 Photo Location: Sunset Beach, NC ISO: 800 Shutter Speed: 1/45s Aperture: F3.5

Another sunrise (almost) shot at Sunset Beach, NC. Finally had a good excuse to play with my new 10-17mm Fisheye.

Very nice indeed, the fisheye lens is very useful in some situations and this is one of them.

Thanks! Yeah it is well suited to seascapes.

I'm confused. How can one have sunrise at a sunset beach? Surely a sunset beach will face west?

I'm not a big fan of the fisheye look (I do have a 10-20mm) but I like the pattern in the sand and the colours. I wonder how it would look cropped.

Ron... yeah it's confusing... funny thing is that this beach faces almost directly south (good trick for being on the east coast of the U.S. huh?). It's called Sunset because its the WSW-most beach in NC so it's where the sun sets in NC if you are on the beach islands to the east.
