Having exhausted all the nearby hiking spots in WNY, I ventured into Canada to visit the Balls Falls Conservation Area, only an hour drive from my home. The weather was spectacular for an autumn day - 80*. The park has two waterfalls and the hike between them is short and easy. Best of all, no bridge traffic crossing the border. Over and back without even slowing down.

I plan a return visit when the snow & ice arrive. Your pic of the Lower Falls showing the entire basin is great - a fisheye is definitely the only way to capture it all. Decew Falls will be next if the leaves don't fall too fast. I'll see if I can coerce my wife to join me with the promise of Chinese food in Fort Erie. See won't eat Chinese in the States - says it can't compare to Happy Jack's.

Sounds like a plan... mine were taken during the Christmas holidays, it gave us a bit of ice, but before the snow had set in.... your images are very good. There's a waterfalls and moving water thread if you're interested in posting, those are as good as anything there..

Very, very nice images. On my next visit to Hamilton I'll try and see that area.
