I was in agreement about this being a great area for photography, until today.
The Grand Coulee Dam is one of the most visited and famous landmark tourist sites of Washington State.
Today I drove down to take some pictures, and was stopped, by Dam security police, Tribal police, and Grand Coulee Police, at the public viewpoint parking lot just below the dam.
I was told that taking pictures is considered "suspicious" activity. I was told that I could not remain on Federal Govt. Property.
Apparently, they consider it a matter of Homeland Security. I was told that the reason I could not be there was a matter of national security.
I am totally and completely baffled, confused and upset.
